Instruction # 15 - CDex 1.4

1. Installing : open downloaded file, If it's zipped, unzip with Good Zip Freeware and open it. Then click next > next > next > yes.

2. Readme.txt shows, close it and go to desktop then open shortcut CDex.

3. Insert audio CD, make sure you select the right Drive.

Then click menu Options > Settings > tab Filenames.
Locate your output files at WAV to MP3 and Recorded Tracks.

4. Press F5, CD tracks show. You can change track name by right clicking track name then select rename track.

5. Fill more details at Artist, Title, Year and Genre. To add/edit genre, click menu edit > add/edit genre. New window opens.

In the picture above, click insert new > name new genre > select CD database genre > click OK

6. Converting file : This program can convert
- Audio CD file to WAV, MPEG (MP3)
- WAV to MPEG
- MPEG to WAV

To covert Audio CD file to MP3, select file ,if you want to select more than one file, press and hold Ctrl on keyboard, then click mouse to select file.

Then click menu convert > Extract CD track (s) to MPEG file.
When it's done, text "OK" will show at status column.

Now you get the idea of converting Audio CD file.

7. Converting WAV to MP3: drag and drop WAV file in program window, the options show, then select encode. The program will convert WAV file to MP3.

8. Splitting file to store in limited storage : select file in program window, click menu convert > extract partial CD track.

At output type, select file format. At range, select file range you want to keep.

9. Write your files with Burner Freeware : CDBurnerXP Pro
