1. Installing : open your downloaded file. If it is zipped, unzip with Good Zip Freeware and open it. Then click next > check "I agree" check box > next > next > OK > finish.
The computer restarts.
2. The program icon shows in a notification area.
The idea, if something wants to connect to the internet, Kerio Firewall will ask you what you want to do.
In the picture above, to let that thing connect to the internet, click Permit.
Not to let that thing connect to the internet, click Deny.
To keep denying or permitting every time for that connection without asking, check "Create appropriate filter rule and don't ask me again" check box then click Permit or Deny.
You can change what you set, see step 4.
If something wants to get to to your computer, Kerio Firewall will ask the same way.
3. Settings : right click the program icon then select administration.
At tab firewall, select the option at a slide bar.
Click advanced, at tab Filter Rules,
a red arrow = the connection is blocked
a green arrow = the connection is not blocked
a right arrow = the outgoing connection
a left arrow = the incoming connection.
To edit, select an item then click Edit...
At Direction, select the direction.
At Action, select Permit or Deny.
At Rule valid, select a rule you want.
Click OK.
You can also add and delete the filters. Don't forget to click Apply then click OK before leaving.
4. Right click the program icon, select administration then go to tab miscellaneous. At Firewall Engine Service, select the choice you want.....Done !
