1. If the downloaded file is zipped, unzip it with Good Zip Freeware. Copy file "CloseAll.exe" and paste where you want.
2. You must know the difference between taskbar and system tray ( notification area ).
The picture above is called system tray or notification area. Only program icon shows.
The picture above is called taskbar. Both program icon and its name shows.
3. When Closeall 1 program works, it will close all programs shown on taskbar. The program that needs to be saved, it allows you to save the program.
The better way is make sure you save programs that need to be saved before opening "CloseAll.exe".
4. I tested opening "CloseAll.exe", while downloading a file with the following web browsers.
Internet Explorer 6, the result was everything closed.
Opera 7.5, the result was there's a warning message :
You have running transfers that will be terminated if you close Opera. Are you sure you want to close Opera ?
Opera gave me a chance to continue downloading a file, so I clicked Cancel. Then I waited until downloading completed.
Fire Fox Web Browser 1.5, the result was there's a warning message : If you exit now, 1 donwnload will be canceled.
Are you sure you want to exit ?
I clicked Don't exit, then waited until downloading completed.....Done !
Is it good to shut down your computer with one click after closing all things ?
