1. The idea, this program has two ways to create a secret room.
a. Use an empty space on a hard disk.
b. Use a whole partition.
Just create a file and use this file as a key to open the secret room. Use spaces in a secret room like you use spaces in your hard disk.
2. Installing : open a file "TrueCrypt Setup.exe". If this file is zipped, unzip with Good Zip Freeware and open it. Then click install > OK > exit.
The program shortcut shows on a desktop, open it. At the program window, there are the drive names.
Click create volume, a TrueCrypt Volume Creation Wizard opens, check "create a standard TrueCrypt volume" check box then click next.
a volume location window opens, click select file...
Name and locate a file then click open. The next time I will call this file a secret room file.
At a volume location window, click next, a encryption options window opens, click next.
A volume size window opens, see free space on drive before defining a volume size.
Define a volume size, click next. A volume password window opens, don't set password. Check "use keyfiles" check box then click Keyfile.. button.
A TrueCrypt - Keyfiles window opens, click generate random keyfile...
A TrueCrypt - Keyfile Generator window opens, move a mouse pointer for a minute.
Click generate and save keyfile, name and locate a file then click save > OK > close. The next time I will call this file a key file.
At TrueCrypt - Keyfiles window, click add file.. then select a key file and click open > OK.
At volume password window, click next.
A volume format window opens, move a mouse pointer for 30 seconds then click format.
A volume creation complete opens, click OK > exit.
3. At the program window that shows the drive names, select a drive name you want then click select file in order to select the secret room file then click open.
To open the secret room, click mount.
A new window opens, check "use keyfiles" check box then click Keyfiles...button.
A TrueCrypt - Keyfiles window opens, click add file...
Select your key file then click open > OK > OK.
If you see the details of your secret room like a picture below.
That means you are going to have a secret room, then click exit.
The program icon shows at a notification area.
4. To use your secret room, go to my computer, the name of your secret room shows.
Open and use it. To lock your secret room door, open the program window, select your secret room name then click dismount.
Go to my computer, your secret room disappears.
Don't worry, everything in the secret room is saved.
5. To destroy your secret room, make sure the secret room is dismounted then right click the program icon that shows at a notification area, select exit. A new window opens, click yes.
Delete a secret room file.....Done !
