1. The program document says that this program can split a file that is bigger than 4.2 GB.
2. Open file "splitter.exe". If it is zipped, unzip with Good Zip Freeware and open it.
The program opens.
A file name to be split must not have spaces, underscores, minus symbols and dots.
In the picture above, click split a file then select a file. A new window opens.
In the picture above, at destination folder, select where to store an output files.
At part size, set the size of a split file then click split it.
An example, I split file "httrack3.exe", the output files are
httrack3_exe.001
httrack3_exe.002
httrack3_exe.003
httrack3_exe.004
httrack3_exe.spl.
To merge files, open the program then click merge the parts then select a file that has the extension "spl".
At destination folder, select where to store the output file then click merge'em!.
3. Automerging : in the splitting process, check "create SFX module (*.exe) for automerging" check box (see this option in the picture above)
An example, I split file "httrack3.exe", the output files are
httrack3_exe.002
httrack3_exe.003
httrack3_exe.004
httrack3_exe.exe.
You can send them to the recipient.
To merge them, open file "httrack3_exe.exe" then select where to store the output file at destination folder. Click merge 'em!.
A new window says the process is completed, click OK.
A new window asks to make a copy of the program, click Yes > OK.
From now on the recipient has the copy of the program.....Done !
