Set Size And Position of Active Window with Sizer Free On Windows 11

If size and position of a window that the feature of Windows 11 (it's called Snap) provides, doesn't fulfill what one wants, try using 'Sizer'.

With Sizer, I can press a hotkey or click a menu to change size/position of the active window to the preset. The downside of this app is it doesn't provide a tool to get size and position of the active window, so I have to use 2 more free apps to get the essential values.

The test steps - Sizer 4.0
OS: Windows 11 Home
Download: http://www.brianapps.net/sizer4/

1. Go to the link above to download the app.

 I downloaded an MSI installer.

 Open the downloaded file.

 Follow the installation process.

 2. Open Sizer.

Click the arrow at taskbar and right click the app's icon.

Click 'Configure Sizer...'

At tab 'Hot Keys',  Ctrl+Windows key+Z for viewing the menu at a mouse pointer.

You can edit the preset, go to tab 'Menu', select the item and click a button 'Edit...'. If you satisfy with the size, then set the position, this app provides positions in the format: move to top left, move to bottom left.etc...

3. The way I set it: set size and position of the target window, then get the size by using the free app 'Lightscreen', then get the position by using the free app 'MPos - Mouse Position'.

Download Lightscreen at: https://lightscreen.com.ar/

Install, open the program , right click at the app's icon, select 'View Options'.

Set a hotkey for the active window.

After setting size/position of the target window, press a hotkey to take a screenshot of that window.

Go to the folder containing the screenshot, set 'Views' to 'Details'.

Right click the column header in Windows Explorer, and click 'More...'.

 Then check the checkbox 'Dimensions'.

Use the dimensions value of the screenshot.

At tab 'Menu' of Sizer, select a group in the picture below, I selected 'Sizer Menu', then click 'Add Size'.

Set the description and fill width and height with the dimensions value.

Download 'MPos - Mouse Position' at https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpos/

Extract the downloaded file (.zip), open an application file 'MPos', the new window shows, click 'More info'.

Click 'Run anyway'.

The small window of info shows, move a mouse pointer over the top-left of the target window.

Use the physical info, in the picture above, X: 818   Y: 84.

At 'Sizer Menu Entry' window, set the following values:

Move to: User defined
Relative to: Active Monitor
Using: Workarea coordinates
Left: 818 (from physical info in 'MPos')
Top: 84 (from physical info in 'MPos')

I set a shortcut key, just type a character in the box (F in my case).

After I had done setting, activated the target window, pressed a shortcut key. The result was perfect.
