Firefox Add-On (FREE) - Unvisited tabs indicator – Grey Out Icon of Unvisited Tabs in 2025

In the past, there was this kind of add-on, I had used. When Firefox is changed its engine or something, a lot of good add-ons don’t work.

When I see interesting links in a page, I open them using ‘Open in the background tab’, then go to read all of them after that or I skip to read other tabs. The problem is at the end, I can not discriminate unvisited ones from others.

Finally, in 2025 I’ve found this one.

The test steps – Unvisited tabs indicator 1

On: Windows 11 Home

Install: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unvisited-tabs-indicator/

1. Go to the link above, then install it.

There is a dialog box asking you, click ‘Add’.

2. I used the default settings without changing anything.

In the picture above, the icon of background tab was greyed out.

Note that I opened the same link.

From now on, left tab is the background tab, right tab is foreground tab.

You can see in the picture above, the color of icon of background tab depends on the color of icon of foreground tab.

3. I saw the color palette in the screenshot on add-on page.

How could I open it and change color of the icon?

Without intention, I knew how to do it.

In the picture above, click the icon at toolbar, then click a name of the add-on.

Picture above is the default settings.

I only changed brightness (see picture above)

The result is in the picture above, the icon is black with a white circle.

If you open a lot of tabs for something, you have to consider ability to separate unvisited tabs from others.

Batch Translate Text Files without Login Free Online

Google Translate service is free, but it can not translate files in batch. This service can.

The test steps – FILEFORMAT (Web)

On: Windows 11 Home

Location: https://products.fileformat.ai/word-processing/translate/txt

1. Go to the link above, you will see something like a picture below.

I used the one exported file from my previous post (Italian language), made 2 copies in .txt file to test this service.

I dragged and dropped 2 files. A new pop-up window opened.

I selected ‘English’ in ‘Translate to:’ and clicked ‘Translate’.

When it is done, click ‘Download translated file(s)’.

The downloaded file was a .zip file.

Right click at the downloaded file, click ‘Extract All…’.

A new window opens, click ‘Extract’.

You will have a folder in ‘Download’ folder.

Open that folder, you will see the files that end with the language you choose.

2. I opened 2 files.

The first line is the message from the service.

The picture above is the original.

The above picture is the Google Translate result.

It’s very easy to use and the result looks good comparing to Google Translate.
