Fill PDF Form with Microsoft Edge - FREE on Windows 11

Microsoft Edge comes with Windows 11, no need to download and add the extra pay.
It's pretty neat and easy to use but I have no idea how to insert images, in case of you need the signature in the image.

The test steps - Microsoft Edge 117.0.2045.43
OS: Windows 11 Home

1. Open PDF file with MS Edge or drag and drop to its window.

At the check box, a mouse pointer is changed to a hand.

Click on the check box, a small tick appears.

You can use a pen at the toolbar.

Draw a tick yourself.

If you don't like it, click 3 dot icon, click erase.

Then drag over what you want to erase.

Adjust thickness of pen for a new tick.

Save or save as.

Click again at a pen icon to disable it and get back to normal mode.

Click to type text.

If you don't like it, click 'text box' icon at toolbar.

Click where you want to add text, you will see the floating user interfaces.

You can increase/decrease text spacing.

Move the text box.

Change text color.

Increase/decrease text size.

2. Slots in the PDF form.

I clicked at the first slot and typed 'h' 4 times, you can see the result in the picture above.

In the picture above, I clicked at the first slot and typed 123456789.

3. To add signature, you can use a drawing tool, then draw with you mouse.

Digital pen might work, I don't know.

4. Use LibreOffice Draw to insert image to PDF form. LibreOffice is free and it contains 'Draw'. Download: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/

Right click at the target PDF file, then select 'Open with', select 'LibreOffice Draw'

To zoom in/out use a tool at bottom right corner.

Click menu 'Insert' --> Image...

I just signed on the paper, took a picture of it using a phone camera. Managing the lights well makes a photo clearer.

After inserting the image, I moved the image to see the edge in order to adjust its size.

Moved it to the right place.

Clicked menu 'File' --> Export As --> Export As PDF...

I didn't change anything in the settings, just used the default one.

Then I opened the output file in MS Edge.

I saw the image I inserted.

I have seen the PDF app that charges users if they want to insert the image, so 'LibreOffice Draw' comes in.
