How to Set OBS Studio for Recording Enlarged Mouse Pointer FREE on Windows 11

By default, if you will have 2 pointers in the output file of OBS studio just like the picture below.

In the picture above, you can see that ‘Mouse Pointer Trails’ is set to ‘Off’.

I enlarged a pointer in ‘Settings’ by open ‘Settings’ then search ‘pointer’ then click ‘mouse pointer size’

Let me show you what will make 2 pointers in the output file.

1. Open OBS Studio. I’m using version 33 (64 bit).

2. At the left pane, add new source by clicking ‘+’ sign.

A new window shows, select ‘Display Capture’.

At the right pane, click ‘Add a new Display Capture’.

A new window shows, ‘Capture Mode’ is set to ‘Automatic’ by default.

At ‘Display’, select your display.

 

With all these settings, you will have 2 pointers in the output file

To avoid this, just set ‘Capture Mode’ to ‘Modern (WGC).
