How to Set Value to Record ‘User Account Control’ Dialog with Screen Recording Apps Free on Windows

Normally ‘User Account Control’ is set to default.

You can view this setting by opening ‘Settings’.

Then search ‘Change User Account Control settings’

When I open a file that is downloaded from the Internet, ‘User Account Control’ dialog will show and 3 screen recording apps I’ve tested responds in the same way which is they can not record that dialog.

 

Bandicam 27.0.6.2686 and Camtasia 26.2.2.19936 (trial version), when that dialog shows, they just pause recording, when that dialog disappears, they start recoding again.
OBS Studio 32.1.2 records a black screen in the output file when that dialog shows.

 

If you want to record that dialog, set ‘User Account Control’ just like in the picture above. You can see the message ‘do not dim my desktop’.
